About Adventures of Young Rama

How do you introduce your child to a story you grew up hearing? Adventures of Young Rama by Arvind M.T. offers a picture-book introduction to the Ramayana, pairing a retelling of young Rama’s adventures with AI-generated illustrations. Adapted from Balakanda in Valmiki’s Ramayana, it follows Rama and sage Vishwamitra through a world of discovery and challenge.

Along the way, young readers encounter ancient astras and powerful demons, with bravery, love and practical wisdom woven into the journey. The illustrations give families another way to explore the scenes, while the story opens up conversations about its characters and their choices.

Read it aloud, pause over a picture or let a question lead to a longer conversation. Whether you are sharing a familiar story or discovering it together, this book makes space for time spent reading as a family. It also makes a thoughtful gift for a child beginning to explore Indian mythology.
